WINTER NEWSLETTER 2025

While the winter chill may be blustering outside, we are warmed by the support of our community, coming together to support children and families experiencing homelessness across the state.

For the last several months, our team has mobilized to prepare for the coming changes to immigration policy that may affect our service delivery. We have been intentional about preparing our staff with the information they need to continue their work with children and families. We are preparing our volunteers with information and guidance they can use in their work with children in shelter. We have also made intentional efforts to equip families with information and resources that empower them to prepare for the future. Through it all, we remain committed to providing our staff and the children and families we serve with a safe and welcoming environment where they can thrive. Read on for the latest at Horizons.

Spreading Holiday Cheer at Horizons!

This winter, our corporate supporters brought the holiday spirit to Horizons! A huge shoutout to MFS Investment Management, Adage Capital Management, Bowditch & Dewey LLP, and Turner Construction Company for their heartwarming generosity. Thanks to their donations of cozy coats and boots, our students are staying cozy and warm all winter long.

In addition to bundling up, Horizons ensured that every family experienced the magic of the season. Each family received gift cards to purchase a holiday meal and presents for their little ones. Parents were thrilled to choose toys and gifts to bring joy and smiles to their children.

To all the donors who participated in our gift card drive—thank you for making the season brighter for our families.
