PAL Community Meetings

This summer, we’re hosting a series of virtual PAL Community Meetings for PALs to meet each other, discuss successes and challenges, and connect with Horizons staff. Each meeting will include a 15-minute presentation followed by 45 minutes of open discussion. The first meeting will be an introductory overview of the series and each following meeting will cover a focused topic. Please see below for the summer schedule:

Please review the tip sheets below for helpful information on calm down strategies, de-escalating challenging behaviors, building routines in Playspace, safe outdoor practices, and Haitian Creole and Spanish language support. 

Coming soon to a Playspace near you!  

We are so excited to introduce mindfulness and calming kits to all our Playspaces throughout the state. These kits are designed to help children build healthy coping mechanisms though engaging and calming play activities. Be on the lookout for more information from your Program Coordinator soon. 

End of Year Survey

We want to hear from you about your perspective and experience as a Playspace Activity Leader. Please complete this brief, optional survey to share your input and help us to improve the Playspace Program. If you do not feel comfortable answering a certain question, you may skip it and move on to the next question. All responses are collected anonymously unless otherwise stated. We value your feedback!
