To meet the rise in family homelessness, we've opened two new classrooms and an additional gross motor space that supports healthy child development. These new spaces mean even more children can learn, play, and thrive in an environment built just for them.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals: Science, Smiles, and Service

Vertex Pharmaceuticals has been an extraordinary partner, as both a vital funder of our STEAM program and a hands-on supporter through their dedicated employees.

Vertex is a company with a heart, and its employees embody that heart in meaningful ways. During their annual Week of Service, Vertex volunteers spent time packing comfort care kits for children living in shelter, reading stories, playing on the playground, exploring with children in our STEAM lab, and giving one-on-one attention to our infants. They also brought extra sparkle to a Boston-area shelter by cleaning and organizing a Playspace, turning it into a bright, welcoming space for children to learn and play.

Thank you, Vertex, for bringing together STEM funding, volunteer time, and dedication to create a lasting, meaningful impact.

Horizons Celebrates Preschool 'Moving Up' Ceremony

We celebrated our departing students who are moving beyond Horizons and up to Kindergarten. Both parents and children enjoyed this milestone celebrating all they’ve accomplished at Horizons while sharing excitement for all the learning and growing that’s still ahead. It was a moment to recognize the impact of our work, knowing each child is well prepared for their next steps. Thanks to our community, they had access to the highest quality education designed to help them rise above the housing instability they’ve experienced in their young lives.
